Money & time that would go to the design, city approval process and construction of a new building now goes towards programming & community services. We were able to start using the space the day we got the keys!

Our volunteer and leadership team has worked day and night to ensure that the donations you have made – which belong to the community – have all been used efficiently and without any waste. We hold this trust as a trust from God, and we are very proud of the creative and unique ways we have come up with to make sure that we cut all and any extra costs. We believe the process we have used to retrofit and prepare the Rhoda mosque are a model for future mosques and we will be publishing a guide on how we did what we did in order that other communities can adopt these cost-savings measures in order to make the most of the resources they are entrusted with.
TOTAL REPAIRS, RENOVATIONS & RETROFITTING SAVINGS
We’re proud of our financial responsibility towards the community’s resources. We’ve saved a total of $709,000 in Repairs, Renovations & Retrofitting Costs. Within months of acquiring our new building, the community is benefitting from a full-functioning multipurpose project housing a Masjid, an Institute, and a revenue-generating social enterprise (the Lotus Co-working & Event Space). That’s an amazing outcome with no waste incurred.
